A few years ago, a brave young creative director/producer from the Showtime Network, Stephanie Sassola, hired Eymer Design to develop a brand identity and some video lead-ins for a cartoon channel that Showtime was developing.

In that particular year, several of our own promotional graphics along with several paying projects showed up Print Magazine's Design Annual. Stephanie took a chance on our young firm, and not only hired us to develop the two-dimensional graphics, but she also allowed us to develop the animated introductory pieces, lead-ins and connectors (I am not sure whether these are really the correct technical terms – but they sound pretty good).

I had an unbelievably great time working with NYC's, Broadway Video in the development of the animated pieces. Unfortunately, before 'Kids Komedy' could see the light of day, it was killed-off due to some corporate re-jiggering and/or restructuring.

The final Kids Komedy logo is posted above – along with one of the surviving 'rough cuts' from the intro.

Stephanie, thanks for taking a chance with us. It was a project that we will never forget!

Yesterday, the designer within me, stole $1.99 out of my pocket and wasted it on an iPhone App. The design of DIACARTA is absolutely beautiful and a true graphic gift for a visual thinker.

Unfortunately, the interface is not compatible with iCal – which by the way, manages both my professional and business lives.

DIACARTA, please restore my faith in everything beautiful and figure out a way to connect. For now, I will have to leave the receiver off the hook.

A high-spirited, energetic, and too often mischievous German Shorthaired Pointer – Olivetti has taken us on many misadventures and near disasters. By now, FedEx and UPS drivers know not to leave unattended packages by our front door. One too many packages has ended up in the front yard, chewed to pieces with the contents strewn hither and yon!
In order to keep her occupied, our challenge has been to find her the perfect and virtually indestructible dog toy. After nearly a year working with our client and Portland Maine's, online dog supply leader, Fetchdog – we had almost given up on finding a dog toy that had a shelf-life of over 6 hours – before being destroyed.
Last weekend, while shopping at Whole Foods, we discovered ABO Gear's, Jute Shaker.
